The Back to School Social is held during the week before school starts and gives Winstead families a chance to meet teachers, reconnect with friends, and kick off the new school year.
Students in grades 1-5 will have the opportunity to meet their teachers. All Winstead families (including incoming kindergarten families) are encouraged to visit the PTO tables to meet our team, purchase Spirit Wear, take a photo with Winston & Winnie, and learn more about the upcoming school year.
Join us for a special breakfast in the cafeteria for Kindergarten parents after dropping off your little ones on the first day of school. Siblings welcome.
Grandparents (or another special adult) and wildcat grandchildren are invited to enjoy breakfast together before school. Grandparents can tour the school and shop at Paw Patch (our school store) with their Wildcats.
Grandparents Day is typically held each September, shortly after Grandparents Day.
Join us each fall for Winstead's biggest family celebration of the year! Enjoy food trucks, a live DJ, a silent auction, shop the book fair, and take part in a variety of family friendly activities. It's an evening of fun, community, and school spirit you won't want to miss.
Our amazing teachers and staff do so much for our students. Staff lunches are one of the ways we show our appreciation throughout the school year. Hosted by two grade levels at a time, these lunches give Winstead families the opportunity to contribute to a delicious meal and help our faculty and staff feel celebrated.
Join us each March for one of Winstead's sweetest traditions! Students are invited to enjoy breakfast before school with their parents or another special grown-up as families spend quality time together before the school day begins.
Each winter, students, families, teachers, and staff can send Candy Grams to brighten someone's day. This Winstead tradition is a fun way to celebrate kindness, spread a little Wildcat cheer, and let someone know you're thinking of them. Every student receives a special Candy Gram from Winston and Winnie!

Bundle up and join us each January for our annual school dance! Students and parents (or another special grown-up) are invited to enjoy an evening of music, dancing, refreshments, and fun as they make lasting memories together.
Take the stage each spring at Winstead's Got Talent! Our annual talent show gives students the opportunity to perform and shine in front of family and friends! All students are welcome to participate.
Help us sprint to the finish! Each spring, Wildcats celebrate the end of the school year with an action packed Field Day. Join your student for games, activities, friendly competition, a colorful powder run, and school wide fun. It's the perfect way to wrap up another amazing year and celebrate the finale of our Wildcats on the Run fundraiser.
Every year, Winstead's fifth graders roll up their sleeves to raise funds for the class's end of year celebration and class gift to Winstead. Stop by for a car wash, make a donation, and help send our fifth graders off with a memorable final year at Winstead.
Each May, fourth grade parents organize a special celebration for fifth graders as they prepare for the exciting transition to middle school. Fifth grade promotion is a special evening featuring student speeches, a slideshow, and a cupcake reception as we honor all they've accomplished during their time at Winstead.

Each spring, Winstead celebrates Staff Appreciation Week by recognizing the incredible teachers and staff who make our school such a special place. Throughout the week, families help show their gratitude with special treats, meals, surprises, and acts of kindness to thank our staff for everything they do.
