Back To School Social

Meet the Teacher is a chance for 1st–5th grade students and families to meet their teachers before school starts. Kindergarten families are also encouraged to attend to meet the PTO, purchase spirit wear, take a photo with Winston, and learn more about the upcoming school year.

BooHoo / Yahoo Breakfast

Join us for a special breakfast in the cafeteria for Kindergarten parents after dropping off your little ones on the first day of school. Siblings welcome. 

Grandparent's Day

Grandparents (or grandparent-type family/friends) and wildcat grandchildren are invited to enjoy breakfast together before school. Grandparents can tour the school and shop at the school store with their wildcats. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve food. Reach out to the PTO to help! 

Wildcats Rock the Block Party

Join us for our biggest family event of the year as we celebrate the success of our Invest Campaign! Enjoy a DJ, inflatables, face painting, dessert trucks, a silent auction, and more. Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, concessions, inflatables, photo booths, and more. Volunteer Here.  

Staff Luncheon

Help us show Winstead’s faculty and staff how much they are appreciated! Two grade levels host each staff lunch throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to help with food preparation, setup, serving, and cleanup. More information about Staff Lunch can be found here.

Donuts with Grown-Ups

On two special mornings in March, Wildcats and their parents (or parent-like figures!) are invited to enjoy breakfast together before school. Volunteers are needed to help with food preparation, setup, serving, and cleanup. Reach out to the PTO to help! 

Candygrams

Each winter, students, parents, teachers, and staff can brighten someone’s day by sending or receiving a sweet Candygram. This fun tradition is a great way to spread kindness and celebrate our Winstead community. All students will receive one Candygram from Winston and Winnie, our mascots! CandyGram information here.

Winter Dance

Enjoy a special evening with your student featuring a DJ, refreshments, and a photo booth. Volunteers are needed to help with decorating, setup, and cleanup after the event. More information here.

Winstead's Got Talent

Winstead families come together for a special night of entertainment and community at our annual Talent Show! This event gives students the opportunity to perform, showcase their talents, and shine on stage. Fifth-grade students can participate in even more ways by auditioning to be Talent Show Emcees or helping behind the scenes backstage. More information here.

Wildcats On The Run

Wildcats on the Run is Winstead’s exciting health and wellness fundraiser! Students will run, jog, or walk the track while completing fun obstacles and activity stations created by Coach K and Coach Whipple.

Along the way, they’ll dash through bursts of colorful powder, making this event a student favorite!

This year, Wildcats on the Run will be combined with Field Day for an action-packed day of games, activities, competitions, and school-wide fun. Volunteers are needed to help with planning, setup, coordination, and event-day activities to make this memorable event a success.  More information here.

5th Grade Car Wash

The 5th Grade Car Wash helps raise funds for the 5th Grade end-of-year celebration and class gift to Winstead. Cars are washed for donations, but contributions are welcome whether or not you choose to have your car washed. Every dollar donated goes directly to the 5th Grade Fund.

5th Grade Promotion

Fourth-grade parents organize a special evening to celebrate the 5th-grade class and their time at Winstead. The event includes a slideshow, student speeches, and a cupcake reception—a sweet way to honor our graduates and recognize all they have accomplished.

Staff Appreciation Week

Staff Appreciation Week is our chance to celebrate the incredible Winstead staff and thank them for all they do. This fun-filled week includes special treats, meals, and activities designed to make our staff feel appreciated. Volunteers are needed throughout the week to help make this celebration a success.
